I love it when filmmakers plant clever surprises – it's like they're winking at you.

Great post! My qualm is that it's possible to make a story interesting in the matter in which the person taking in the story becomes aware of what they already knew, where each aspect of the story was cleverly hinted beforehand. This isn't a very large set of possibilities, but it's one that I think keeps your ideas of suspense and surprise from being universal, surprise in particular.GWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16060736362111492822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27501132.post-33372257430227161582011-07-14T14:49:21.669-04:002011-07-14T14:49:21.669-04:00I really wish that video game writers would access...I really wish that video game writers would access ideas of this depth in their writing. I congratulate you.

The last paragraph in this posting indirectly brings up a critical point (at least to me). Do most animation creators know how to blend together the very elements you have talked about?

Will the medium of animation ever be attractive to screenwriters/producers with the talent to write material like this? Or will writing for animation continue to be a stepping stone to live action?

I ask this without pointing a finger at anyone in the business today.John Celestrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09617553681175846578noreply@blogger.com
