I think I came to this page five times yesterday just looking. It's excellent, Mark. You make me hungry for more. Disney should release books like this of their features.
I just assumed it was Stapp because there's a "Terrell" credited on the drafts for two major sequences and one short transition (so far) and only one "Stapp", co-credited with Putnam. Unless there's a whole ton of "Stapp" scenes in the remainer of the film, there are far more scenes credited to "Terrell". If they weren't the same person then it would seem strange that they'd credit (Terrell) Stapp rather than (Ernest) Terrell.
What exactly did these layout artists do anyway? Usually they design backgrounds, right? But it seems there area lot of scenes (in Geppetto's house, in Stromboli's wagon) which use the same backgrounds / set design but which credit different layout artists...
Great work, Mark - looking forward to the continuation, as I bet a lot of people are!

ReplyDeleteDoesn't "Terrell" mean Terrell Stapp rather than Ernest Terrill?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who Terrell is. Based on Alberto Becattini's site, it could be either of them. Does anybody know?

Did you notice Walt Kelly in Scene 55? That was his first scene in the picture, I believe.
