Maybe if it didn't cost so much to go to the movies more people would go? I mean, in Toronto its like $12.50 to see a movie once. You can get most DVDs for the same price.
Films today compete with video games, the Internet, and MMRP online games as well as television. There is, if anything, more demand for entertainment, but not in the same media.
My guess is that they're hoping that if they throw enough of it against the wall, there's a higher chance that something might stick.

ReplyDeleteYup, tickets are $10 here in HI now. I'm just not willing to pay more than $8 unless it's a really good movie.
