Thanks for sharing this. I was wondering who animated the dancing sequences in this short. I know nothing of Disney animators other than maybe Fred Moore, but I won't be forgetting the name Cliff Nordberg that's for sure.
Hans, I screwed up. Tom Bertino is a later generation VFX supervisor and somebody who I think used to write for animation fanzines. When I write more about this film, I'll be sure and make the correction. Thanks for catching it.
Kevin, I'm getting increasingly interested in Disney animators who never got any press. Make Mine Music was Nordberg's first screen credit, though he may have been working on shorts prior to that, and he was at the studio until The Fox and the Hound. I have no idea if anyone ever interviewed the man.
It's funny- I had been told years ago on pretty good authority that although Fred Moore designed the character in the girl-getting-dressed sequence which has always been so closely associated with him, a look at the draft would show that he had not actually animated it. I'm glad to find that that's wrong, because I have a bunch of those drawings.
I've worked as an animator, writer, producer and director in TV animation for 29 years. I created the cgi series Monster By Mistake.
I hold a Masters degree from York University in Cinema and Media Studies.

Beautiful job, Mark!
Yes, great to see it this way!
(NB: I think that would be Al(bert) Bertino, not Tom).
New one for your great treatment coming up tomorrow ;-)

Jenny, I couldn't have done it without you.
