Payton Curtis Interview

Chris Walsh is one of my fellow instructors at Sheridan College. While he lectures on story and animation history, his main area of expertise is teaching stop motion. Over at his blog, Walsh-O-Matic, he has the first part of an interview with stopmo animator Payton Curtis. Curtis recently worked on Coraline and The Fantastic Mr. Fox and talks about the process of animating on a stop motion feature.

Well. I think Animation is an in-depth and a very challenging series of pictures either drawn or laid in the form of pictures through computers. You need to have a grasp of timing and perfect setup, where the facial expressions can be transformed in a single picture.

Yes you are right. And it can be also said that a motion picture can be presented in the form of an animation film apart from many other forms of animation that exists. Animation is a discovery of creative art in the form that needs a perfect blend of art and concentration.
