Guys with Pencils Podcast

Andrew Murray and Adam Hines are two Sheridan graduates who have a podcast talking about what it's like to be starting out in the animation business. You can find all their podcasts here.

I'm their guest in episode 22, talking a bit about my career and a whole lot about creator rights.

I laughed. I cried. Stern messages for us all in the creative arts but delivered, as always, with clarity and passion. And humour.

I really enjoyed the interview, Mark. It reminded me of our conversations at your desk back in those NAC years.

Great stuff, Mark. I can tell you're a great teacher. Lot's of good info/history here. Kudos to the "Guys with Pencils" as well.

Mark: One question that particularly popped out at me towards the end of your interview was: "Where are the old people in animation?"

I wanted to wave my hand "Here I am!" ;-)

Great answer on your part.

Now the whole world knows the great value in a one-on-one conversation with Mark Mayerson! Still doesn't beat the real thing.

As one of the "old People" booted out of animation, I can only say, great interview.

I had no idea you were there so early in the CG revolution. Very insightful interview and I continue to learn from guys like you.
