You probably know how much Walt Disney disliked the style of this film. Much of the credit goes to guys like Tom Oreb, Ken Anderson and Walt Peregoy who were willing to take the risk.
Many of us loved the design and style of "101 Dalmatians," and this was one of the few times I disagreed with Walt.
I've worked as an animator, writer, producer and director in TV animation for 29 years. I created the cgi series Monster By Mistake.
I hold a Masters degree from York University in Cinema and Media Studies.

You've finally gotten to the sequence of the film I worked on so many years ago. Not that I remember all that much. This was the spring of 1960.
Part of reason why I liked 101 Dalmatians was because of the winter coloring. Those layout shots go well with the seasonal setting.
Even with Xerox, Disney could still dish out some beautiful art.
